Yangtze River Delta Solar Photovoltaic Technology Innovation Center (referred to as the Photovoltaic Center)
Yangtze Institute for Solar Technology

It is the first technology innovation center in the field of solar photovoltaics in China and a provincial-level technology innovation center in Jiangsu Province, aiming to build four research bases in the field of photovoltaics and its comprehensive applications.

The Photovoltaic Center is led by Dr. Shen Hui, a well-known expert in the photovoltaic industry and professor at Sun Yat sen University. It has introduced internationally recognized leading talents in the field of photovoltaics, such as Dr. Pierre J. Verlinden, a top scientist recognized by the photovoltaic industry and academia, and Dr. Feng Zhiqiang, deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Science and Technology. The center has formed a team of well-known domestic and foreign experts with industry influence, focusing on cutting-edge solar photovoltaic technology, key common technologies, and photovoltaic application technologies to jointly promote the construction and innovative development of the Photovoltaic Center.

The Photovoltaic Center is currently conducting research on three aspects related to the demand of the entire photovoltaic industry chain, including solar cell and module research, photovoltaic detection and evaluation research, and photovoltaic application research. At the same time, as a platform for industry university research government financial exchange, we explore innovative and entrepreneurial projects, promote the landing of industries, and have successfully established 2 entrepreneurial enterprises and 1 overseas introduced enterprise in the past two years.

Graduated from the Department of Engineering Physics at Tsinghua University, dedicated to promoting the development of China's new energy technology industry and international cooperation, leading the construction of innovation systems in high-tech zones, promoting the construction of innovation carriers such as technology enterprise incubators, and laying the foundation for the industrialization of high-tech. Responsible for international scientific and technological cooperation in the fields of energy and transportation, promoting global exchange of new energy technologies, and internationally acclaimed as a representative figure in promoting clean energy technologies in China.

Formerly served as the director of the National Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Science and Technology, led the construction of a national level research and development platform, and led the team to break the world records for conversion efficiency and module output power of crystalline silicon solar cells more than 20 times. Winner of the 15th CPVC China Solar Photovoltaic Achievement Award and the 29th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference PVSEC Award. Long term commitment to efficient crystalline silicon solar cells, photovoltaic module technology, and product reliability research, he is a leading figure in the field of technological innovation in China's photovoltaic industry.
