From September 23rd to 27th, 2025, the "Innovation Science and Technology Museum" of the 25th China International Industry Fair grandly opened in Hall 6.2H of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). YIST, in collaboration with East China University of Science and Technology, successfully built a first-class standard solar cell natural sunlight calibration experimental platform that meets international standards in the Tibet Everest Nature Reserve (at an altitude of 4,236 meters). This initiative holds significant strategic importance. This region boasts solar irradiation resources in China that are closest to the AM1.5 standard spectrum, providing a unique atmospheric optical environment for high-precision photovoltaic performance calibration.

Through this platform, YIST is committed to establishing the "Everest Standard" in the photovoltaic field with international influence. The establishment of this standard not only achieves accurate traceability and reliability verification of solar cell electrical performance testing, but also provides crucial basic data support for China's photovoltaic technology research and development, equipment manufacturing and industrial application. In today's increasingly fierce global photovoltaic industry competition, the emergence of the "Everest Standard" will enable China to take a leading position in the formulation of photovoltaic technology standards, guiding the global photovoltaic industry towards higher quality and more sustainable development.
PART 02: Innovative Breakthroughs, Ushering in a New Era of Satellite Energy
At this exhibition, the low-cost crystalline silicon flexible solar wing, first exhibited by YIST, has attracted widespread attention from the industry. This innovative product is developed based on low-cost silicon-based solar cell technology and has been reinforced specifically for the LEO orbit environment.

Its unique flexible wing structure achieves significant weight reduction, and combined with modular and small-bundle design, it has excellent adaptability and integration convenience. The high-efficiency ultra-thin silicon-based cells selected for the power generation part have a conversion efficiency of not less than 20% under AM0 and 25℃ conditions. Compared with traditional triple-junction gallium arsenide solar wings, the price per square meter has been reduced by an order of magnitude, with significant advantages such as high efficiency, low cost and high specific power.

The launch of this product will bring revolutionary changes to the satellite industry. It supports modular customization according to user needs, and is particularly suitable for low-cost communication satellite platforms, providing a more economical and efficient energy solution for the development of the satellite industry.
