On the afternoon of October 14, 2025, the 2025 Startup China Entrepreneurship Forum was successfully held in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province. As a key annual industry event hosted by YIST, the forum brought together top global experts, leading entrepreneurs, and seasoned investors in the photovoltaic sector. Participating entrepreneurs and mentors engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge photovoltaic technology R&D and industrial innovation applications, pooling new development ideas and opening up new transformation tracks for the photovoltaic industry.

Industry Authorities Guarding the Way Forward

 

The forum invited four heavyweight guests from the photovoltaic and energy sectors to serve as entrepreneurship mentors, providing professional guidance to entrepreneurs: Li Junfeng, Executive Director of the China Energy Research Society; Song Dengyuan, Chairman of DASOLAR; Wang Xianli, Chairman of Yonz Technology; and Li Siming, Investment Director of Suzhou Hechang Venture Capital Co., Ltd. Leveraging their profound expertise in policy research, enterprise operation, and industrial investment, the four mentors participated in project reviews and direction guidance throughout the event, providing targeted support for entrepreneurial projects.

Covering Innovation Across the Entire Photovoltaic Industry Chain

 

Five representatives of entrepreneurs from upstream and downstream of the photovoltaic industry chain shared their distinctive entrepreneurial and innovation projects at the forum, demonstrating diversified innovation directions in the photovoltaic field:

Xu Xueqing, Researcher at the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences: Focusing on solar energy utilization, he shared an innovative project on optoelectronic functional films and devices, exploring breakthrough paths for high-efficiency solar energy conversion technology.


 

Chai Jing, General Manager of Quantified Energy (Nanjing) Co., Ltd.: Introduced the company's independently developed autonomous flight control algorithm for drones, providing asset quality management services for solar photovoltaic power plants through core drone inspection technology to support reliable and long-term operation of power plants.

 


    Wang Jiali, Co-founder of Open Instruments Pty Ltd.: Launched high-performance imaging and spectroscopy equipment targeting perovskite, silicon, and perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. The products serve photovoltaic manufacturers and research institutions, providing technical support for battery R&D and production.

 


    Fan Weitao, Chairman of YC SOLUTION (SUZHOU) TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.: Proposed a containerized photovoltaic module recycling equipment solution, adopting physical and mechanical methods to disassemble modules, solving waste discharge problems in the recycling process from the source, and promoting a green closed-loop in the photovoltaic industry.

 


     Wang Qiang, CEO of Gaite New Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.: From the perspective of financing services, he shared a new energy project financing platform based on blockchain technology and algorithms, which can achieve rapid evaluation and response to projects, enabling "second-level" financing and solving capital problems for new energy entrepreneurial projects.

Targeted Reviews to Improve Projects

 

Following the project sharing session, the entrepreneurship mentor team conducted detailed questions and professional guidance on the technical feasibility, market prospects, and business models of each project.

Through the interactive model of "Questioning - Answering - Suggestions", the mentors not only helped entrepreneurs identify project shortcomings and clarify optimization directions but also presented an in-depth industry ideological collision for the on-site audience.

 

 

The forum attracted a large number of entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors from all links of the photovoltaic industry chain.
