Project Call for Proposals | Startup China: Seeking Pioneering Forces to Transform the Future of Energy

PART 01 [Call for Proposal Areas]

Focusing on five key directions: photovoltaic technology innovation, hydrogen energy industry chain, energy storage system optimization, smart energy management, and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), we are soliciting technology solutions and commercial projects with disruptive potential from around the world.

 

PART 02 [Target Participants]

Startups

  • Early-stage teams in the new energy sector with core proprietary technologies

(Priority will be given to pre-Series A projects)

 

Research Institutions

  • Technology transfer projects from university laboratories and research institutes

 

Industry Partners

  • Innovation business units of energy enterprises
  • Cross-industry integrated solution providers

 

PART 03 [Submission Requirements]

1.Project Proposal

(Including technical feasibility analysis, commercialization pathway, and team introduction)

2.Core Technology Verification Materials

(Patent certificates, testing reports, etc.)

3.3-Minute Demonstration Video

(Optional; highlight innovative features and application scenarios)

Funding Support

  • Shortlisted projects can receive up to RMB 20 million in concept validation/venture capital funding.

Resource Matching

  • Direct access to the China-Australia industrial fund pool, featuring over 20 institutions including Sequoia China and the Future Fund Australia.

  • One-on-one technical and entrepreneurial guidance from top global expert mentors.

Market Access

PART 06 [Submission Channels]

Shortlisted projects will gain direct entry to the 2025 Startup China Startup Roadshow (October), where they can engage in one-on-one dialogues with four global mentor panels covering finance, technology, industry, and policy to obtain tailored entrepreneurial advice.
