Since the introduction of the “dual carbon” policy, the photovoltaic industry has entered a phase of rapid development. However, the current overly fast growth rate of the PV market and severe homogeneous competition have posed challenges to the sustained and healthy development of the industry. Faced with these challenges, we need to adopt a long-term perspective for the industry’s development, accelerate technological innovation and iteration, and thus drive the sound development of the photovoltaic sector.
Guided by the goal of advancing industrial technological innovation and original technology development, the Yangtze Institute for Solar Technology (YIST) made its first voice to the entire industry by hosting the 1st Yangtze River Photovoltaic Innovation Conference under the theme of “Technological Innovation Empowers Green Development”.

At the conference, Shen Zhenjue of YIST delivered remarks focusing on the current status of industrial involution and the development direction of new productive forces.
He pointed out that: the photovoltaic industry is by no means a zero-sum game, and the production capacity of high-tech PV products is actually not surplus. Benefiting from industrial involution, YIST has successfully adapted its ground-based PV technologies for aerospace applications. Commercial aerospace, he noted, represents the new productive forces of the photovoltaic industry. For aerospace clients, we need to leverage our professional PV expertise to support their decision-making and provide analytical feedback, which also constitutes YIST’s breakthrough path to cross-sector development.
